Between vacuum seals, plastic durometers, air locks, and more — suction cups can give you a lot to think about! Use this guide to troubleshoot and make sure you're using the Sleepout suction cups correctly.
First, this video will demonstrate how the suction cups should work and explain the correct way to use them, including some common questions:
Second, please confirm the following:
- You are installing the suction cups on a clean, non-porous surface - ie. glass, but not drywall or wood
- You are installing the suction cups with the velcro towards the top, levers locking down
- The bottom of the suction cup is clean
- You are locking the suction cups onto the window using the lever
- You are pressing the suction cup toward the glass when you lock down the lever
- You are installing the suction cups at room temperature - they can handle fluctuations, but work best when installed at room temperature to form a stronger seal with the window
